The personally identifiable information that you provide to us and information about your order may be combined with other personally identifiable information (such as demographic information and past purchase history) available from our records and other sources. We also use Pixel Tags to collect additional information regarding your browsing experience. This information will be used to make our future marketing efforts more efficient and to provide you with a more relevant and timely brand and shopping experience. This information may also be shared with our third party service providers that assist us with our marketing efforts and with other marketers whose products or services we feel may be of interest to you.

BACKWOOD SPORTS MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE OPERATION OF THE SITE, THE INFORMATION, CONTENT, MATERIALS OR PRODUCTS INCLUDED ON THIS SITE. TO THE FULL EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY APPLICABLE LAW, BACKWOOD SPORTS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANT-ABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. BACKWOOD SPORTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM THE USE OF THIS SITE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL PUNITIVE AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. Shipping out orders

Orders will be shipped out either same, or the next business day. Due to being closed Saturday and Sunday, orders placed after 1:00 p.m. Friday, or over the weekend will not ship until the following Monday. In the event of a holiday, weather related, or unforeseen issue causing a closure the order will ship on the next open business day.

First time customers please note. To protect our respected customers from the possibility of fraud, orders that have different shipping and billing addresses will be be held until the customer can be contacted by a BackwoodSports representative to verify proof of residence at the billing address.  At that time, you may be asked to provide a copy of your driver's license, or State issued I.D. via email.  In the event that the requested identification information cannot be provided to the Backwoodsports representative, the transaction will be denied.  We appreciate your understanding.

Delivery of orders

As much as we would like to, unfortunately, Backwood Sports simply cannot afford to reimburse customers for losses due to theft, damage, or lost packages after a shipment has been delivered to the address provided to us by the customer.  Backwood Sports, can not, and will not accept responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged packages after delivery.  We suggest making arrangements to be available to receive the order at the time of delivery.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

In the event that the package has been delivered to an incorrect address or is lost by the carrier prior to delivery, please contact us within 24 hours so that we can begin the claims process.  All restitution for lost or damaged packages will be up to the terms and conditions set by the customer's chosen carrier.  

 

Exchanges & Returns

Our goal is to satisfy our customers by exchange, refund, or repair (if we can), as outlined in this policy. Backwood Sports reserves the right to limit or decline returns or exchanges regardless of whether you have a receipt/invoice. We encourage you to retain your purchase receipts/invoices.
  

Is there a time limit on returns?

Generally, we accept returns within 30 days after purchase.
 
Do you restrict certain returns?
Backwood Sports will exchange or refund certain items with some limitations. All sales are final for items that are modified in any way after they are shipped.
 
Do you accept returns without a receipt/invoice?
Backwood Sports will accept all returns as long as they are returned within the 30 day return period. Products MUST BE returned in resalable packaging. If packaging is torn or needing to be replaced, a packaging fee of $2.50 will be deducted from return total. 
 
Do you track returns, or place a limit on the number of returns?
Backwood Sports will track all orders and returns as long as they are made with a tracking number. Before all items are shipped we will provide the customer with a tracking number. When an item is being shipped back to our warehouse, we suggest the customer keep the tracking number as well as provide us with the tracking number.

RELEASE, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT:
By purchasing any item from this online catalog, the buyer warrants that he is in compliance with all federal and state laws and is legally able to purchase and sell any and all items shown. It is the responsibility of the buyer, not DMA-Inc or Backwoodsports-Inc, to ascertain and obey all applicable local, state, and federal laws. Consult your local law enforcement office before ordering. Absolutely NO sales to minors. By placing an order, the buyer represents that the products ordered will be used only in a lawful manner, and that he or she is of legal age to purchase said merchandise.The buyer expressly agrees to indemnify and hold harmless DMA-Inc or Backwoodsports-Inc, for all claims resulting directly or indirectly from the purchase, ownership, or use of the item in violation of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
   
   

EXPORT

Export of body armor or related accessories is strictly regulated by the US Department of State in accordance with the guidelines of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

Items listed on our website fall under jurisdiction of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and are subject to the export control laws of the US Government. Export or re-transfer of those items by any means to any foreign end user or for any other end use, whether in the US or abroad without written approval of the US Department of Commerce or Department of State is prohibited.

The sale, transfer, transportation, or shipment outside of the US of any product prohibited or restricted for export without complying with US export control laws and regulations, including proper export licensing, documentation or authorization, is strictly prohibited and may result in civil penalties and/or constitute a federal crime. Backwoodsports.com will not engage in any transaction that requires the illegal export of any products and will not assist directly or indirectly with the illegal export or re-export of any products.

 

Ammunition Purchases

BACKWOOD SPORTS complies with all local, state, and federal laws with respect to the sale of ammunition

 Alaska: Due to shipping restrictions, BackwoodSports does not ship to the state of Alaska.

 

 

California: Due to local regulations, BackwoodSports does not ship ammunition to Los Angeles, Oakland, Sacramento, San Francisco or Avalon. We can however, ship to the rest of California, but it must be through a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). California residents cannot purchase incendiary or tracer rounds. 

 

Connecticut: Due to local regulations, BackwoodSports can only ship ammunition to residents of Connecticut if they provide a valid ammunition certificate or a valid permit to carry a pistol / revolver or a valid long gun eligibility certificate.

 

Hawaii: Due to shipping restrictions, BackwoodSports does not ship to the state of Hawaii.

 

Illinois: Due to local regulations, BackwoodSports does not ship ammunition to the City of Chicago. We can however, ship ammunition to the rest of the state of Illinois, but you must provide a photo of your valid state FOID card & photo of your driver’s license or valid state ID card.

 

Massachusetts: Due to local regulations, BackwoodSports does not ship to Massachusetts.

 

New Jersey: BackwoodSports can ship ammunition to residents of New Jersey; however, some calibers require a valid copy of your firearms purchaser identification card or valid copy of your permit to purchase / carry a handgun. (example: .223, 5.56, 300 BLK, .308, 7.62x51 have no requirements).

 

New York: Due to local regulations, BackwoodSports does not ship ammunition to New York City or the surrounding boroughs. We can however, ship ammunition to the rest of the state of New York, but it must be through a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL).

 

Washington DC: Due to local regulations, BackwoodSports does not ship to Washington D.C.

BackwoodSports ships UPS Ground exclusively and provides a tracking number to the customer when the product ships. All deliveries are verified by a UPS Tracking Number. Upon delivery or pick up tracking status will be updated to "delivered" verifying package was successfully delivered or picked up.
